Inspiration Cotes De Provence 2017

Inspiration R Parker.jpg
Another pale rosé in the Berne stable, the 2017 Cotes de Provence Rosé Inspiration is a bit more restrained in its aromatics than the other bottlings. It still offers melon and peach scents, but they’re reined in by hints of crushed stone. It’s medium-bodied, with a creamy texture on the palate that lets the flavors linger smoothly on the finish, picking up mouthwatering hints of lime and grapefruit zest.

Tasting Notes

Color: A light translucent pink with some yellow gold hues.

Nose: Delicate notes of cherry, cranberry and pomegranate.

Taste: This is a dry rosé that has weight and structure on the palate. It is balanced by a freshness and tart red fruit notes like fresh strawberry.

The Plateau (altitude 330 m), characterized by an impoverished, stony soil. This zone is reserved for the finest vintages, as its yield is limited.
Le Château (altitude 250 m), characterized by a very different type of soil, with much larger proportions of sand, a generally finer texture and less stones, producing zesty rosés. Its shallow, well-drained soil is ideal for the vines.
This mainly chalky terroir, perfect for growing numerous grape varieties, lends the wines their refreshing, mineral taste.
